Motor Equipment Operator (Light)

Queensbury Parks & Recreation has an opening for a Motor Equipment Operator (Light). This position is full-time with a work schedule of 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Seasonal schedule changes will require evening and weekend hours, as necessary, to prepare for tournaments, special events, and other departmental needs.

Code Compliance Officer

Further responsibilities include on-site inspections of residential, commercial and industrial construction for the purpose of tracking compliance from project beginning through occupancy. Employees in this position will be required to pursue violations of the Zoning Code, Sign Code, Freshwater Wetlands Law, Transient Merchant Peddlers and Solicitors Law, and Subdivision regulations through established enforcement procedures. Alternate Crossing Guard 

The Town of Queensbury is currently accepting applications for an Alternate Crossing Guard for Queensbury schools on Aviation Rd. This position fills in on call for the regular guards who’s hours are 7:00-8:30 am and 2:00 to 3:30 pm and follows the school calendar, excluding snow days. The hours can be more at times of greater need, and sometimes advanced notice, paid training. Possibility to become a regular when position opens. Hourly wage is $19.90 per hour.
