Halfway Brook Trail To Be Completed in 2020

The 1.5 mile long Halfway Brook Trail is slated to be completed this year. Supervisor John Strough recently told the Post Star that the new trail will begin at Potter Road, wind through the reservoir watershed, cross halfway Brook and end on Peggy Ann road. With a $100,000 state grant, Strough plans to find community members and businesses willing to invest the additional time, money and effort to put together a community project to build the necessary bridges and provide foundation material for the trail.
The Halfway Brook Trail is part of a larger plan that includes an additional trail continuing from there to the Feeder Canal Trail. There is already funding in place for this portion of the project.
